HAPPY EASTER!!! Bunny bums are one of my favorite Easter things, but not my absolute favorite! Remember why we celebrate today; He is Risen. I am grateful for Christ’s love and unwavering bravery and kindness. Without Christ, I am nothing. <3 Whether you believe in God & Christ, or not, I hope you enjoy this serene and beautiful Spring day! For me, it’ll be one filled with love and smiles.
Merry Christmas, blog readers!! I hope you are all spending some time with your loved ones this holiday season. Remember that it’s not about the gifts, it’s about appreciating one another and watching lots of really cheesy clay animation films. =) Mele Kalikimaka and may you all have an incredible day!!!
So, blog family, I don’t know how else to break the news to everyone, but Mitch & I are engaged [since 12/7/13]!! We’re going to get married and have kids and live happily ever after.
Okay, let’s be honest, I’ll probably drive him absolutely bonkers, BUT he’s stuck with me!
We haven’t set a date, though we’re thinking September 2014! It was a romantic night at the ballet watching The Nutcracker and then home for hot tea and Bible reading. After which, he asked me to marry him. AND I SAID YES!?!
We have been together since September of 2011 and I’ve never been happier in my life. Mitch is my best friend, my confidante, and my support system. I can’t wait to begin our life together as old married folks!

Today, as with every day, I am incredibly thankful to be alive and well. I’m thankful for all of the love in my life, there are a lot of people out there who don’t have a life filled with love the way I do. I strive not to take it for granted. I’m thankful for my loving pets and that I make enough money to support and care for them. I’m thankful for my family and friends, for Mitchel and our healthy & happy home. I’m thankful for working a job that I love, and that I’m good at, that provides for me. I’m especially thankful for Christ and the sacrifice he made for us all. I’m thankful for God’s mercy and His grace.
And lastly, I’m thankful for all of you. Everyone who takes the time to read even one measly sentence on this blog of mine. I’m very lucky to live in an age where getting your writing out there to be read is easy to do. I write because somebody out there reads it and you all make me feel blessed, like I matter, and I want you all to know that you matter to me, too! Have a fantastic Thanksgiving and I hope your bellies are full and your cheeks are sore from smiling. =)
Happy Independence Day, American readers, and happy 4th of July, citizens of the world. Today we celebrate the signing of our Declaration of Independence and our freedom. I know we’re not supposed to talk about it, but the NSA is really impeding on our freedoms and privacy as a nation. I’ll take today to celebrate the good ole’ U.S. of A. and focus on the rights we are fighting for today [and everyday].
Stay safe, everyone, and enjoy your time off with your families [if you have time off today]!
I hope you all have a safe, happy, and joy-filled Easter today! For me, Easter is a religious time to celebrate the rising of Christ. Whatever Easter means to you, I hope you take a moment to enjoy the day, the people in it, and all the Reese’s eggs you can shove in your mouth!
I have a top 10 list of accomplishments that I would like to reach this year. Some are a bit lofty, some are a bit silly… all are things I want to strive for in 2013.
There you have it, folks… the 10 things I plan for my 2013 to be about. It doesn’t necessarily mean the year will go that way, but it’s good to have a plan to start with, even if you stray from it!
How was your holiday, reader? I hope you had plenty of time to enjoy your family, friends, and a little champagne! I really got to enjoy spending time with my parents and brother… with my brother going to school up in Chicago, we rarely get to spend extended periods of time together. It was such a blessing.
Now it’s back to the old grind! Thank goodness I actually LOVE my job and coworkers, otherwise I’d be in some real pain coming back after my mini-holiday.
I got a Nexus 7 for Christmas!! And I’m writing this entire entry from it… just wanted to wish you and yours a very Merry Christmas!! Love, Sarah, Mitchel, Franklin, and the kitties!
